The holidays are coming and this is the perfect piece of music to bring home with you. If somehow you feel amidst familiar terrain, it's probably because you recognized Mykael Fyrek's contribution to the trio's electronics ( some might say emotional electronics ). Mikael Fyrek's been part of our regular releasers at Camomille for the past 10 years. He's not a stranger to collaboration, releasing some epic poptronica as Tang Kai.
This time, Delaykliniken create a sound beautifully layered with hints of techno and house, rolling beats, dub, pop, cold atmospheres and vocalist Johan Svenson's warmth and compelling storytelling. The songs feel intricate and subtle yet are able to cutout and emboss our romanticism and love, in big bold letters. I was lucky enough to have this on my playlist for the past few months, and it's been on heavy rotation ever since ; hopefully, like me, it'll remain in your playlists for a long time.
